I want Ontario to spend $50,000 - 250,000 to fund a digital service about Healthcare Information in order to make health care easier to access.

Access your health data online using ID card and secure login

The Government of Ontario will determine how projects are implemented; which may not be as described in the original submission. We are not, by posting a submission for public voting, endorsing any organization, technology, location or other content in the original submission, and we may or may not implement the project or use the organization, technology or location referenced in the original submission when implementing the project.

What is your project idea?

So essentially what this is its an account/physical card that is made under someone using perhaps an SIN number or some government issued ID. Once you login you can submit and import information from you dentist/pharmacist/doctor/private surgeon/ chiropractor... or anyone that has information about your health information. This login will be useful to collect all the data about your health in one place so if you visit a new country or just a new healthcare professional across province or borders they will have all your information and can make the best diagnosis. Extremely important when it comes to traveling to a new place and something happens to you. You can use this card or login to pull up your information in seconds saving time and lives.

How will this idea provide a solution?

Better health, faster information transfer, program agnostic, cost savings ( transferring info and healthcare delays prevention)

Is there anything else we should consider?

Not that I can think of at the moment

I think this is a great idea to improve information access and improve the current process. Can't believe this has not been implemented yet! Filling in the same information over and over again for various practitioners can be cumbersome. I lost my vaccination card (the yellow card) once and this type of system would have had my vaccination history. We need this to be secure of course and not be handed over to private pharmaceuticals not rate the patients likeability or other non essential criteria. But lets move forward by implementing this.
